Biographical and Professional Information
Minerva Teichert grew up in the Snake River "bottoms" of Idaho and records in "Drowned Memories" her memories of the people, places and flavor of life in that area before it was covered by what is now the American Falls Reservoir. In "A Romance of Old Fort Hall," she tells the story of a white man adopted as a baby by an Indian couple who raise him as their own. Indian folklore is interwoven throughout as is the history of Old Hall and the Snake River country of Idaho. She lived out the end of her life in Cokeville, Wyoming.
