Biographical and Professional Information

 

Althea Mae Robb was born September 10, 1903 in Edgewater, Colorado. She grew up on a homestead near Haynes, South Dakota. She attended and graduated from the School of Journalism at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. While there, she met and married her husband, Jerry Urbanek. In the early spring of 1931 Mae and her husband settled on a ranch north of Lusk, Wyoming. She was a dedicated rock hound, a member of the Wyoming Library, Archives, Museum and Historical Board, Wyoming Press Women, and Wyoming Federation of Garden Clubs. She died May 29, 1995.
