Louise A. Jackson is a former University of Wyoming professor. She writes fiction for children. Her book, Exiled! From Tragedy to Triumph on the Missouri Frontier, recently won the national WILLA award, given by Women Writing the West for "the finest children's book about the women's west published in 2007."
