George Edward Pendray was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 19, 1901. After living in Niobrara County, Wyoming, he lived in Cranbury, New Jersey, where he died. Pendray was one of the earliest proponents of space flight and rocket power, co-founding the American Rocket Society in 1931.
